Ichigaya - Teeming with schools, universities, and museums, Ichigaya is full of cultural delights. Central to the area is beautiful Kitanomaru Park, a favorite in spring when its cherry blossoms are in bloom. Inside, you'll find Japan's revered Yasukuni Shrine along with cavernous Budokan, a popular venue for martial arts competitions and touring international stage acts. The Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art is also on the grounds, housing an art museum, crafts gallery, and the National Film Center. Adjacent to historical Kagurazaka, Ichigaya is also home to a sizeable French community.
